Osaki City is home to Osaki Farmlands, which is recognized as part of the (GIAHS) Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System. The nutrient-rich farmland and rice paddies, nurtured by abundant nature and crystal clear waters, have long supported the cultivation of crops, rice and the brewing of Japanese sake rice wine.

Restaurant Kagobo Shikisaikan had its grand opening in April 1992. A main selling point is that they mainly use locally produced produce. Popular dishes include the “Kagobo Set Meal” featuring pork dishes paired with seasonal side dishes and dumplings, the “Kago-bo Miso Set Meal” grilled on Mount Fuji lava stone, premium set menus, and a variety of hamburger steaks, soba noodles, and udon noodles. Additionally, a wide selection of coffee and tea beverages is available, allowing you to leisurely enjoy your meal while taking in the abundant natural scenery.

    In late April, in the cherry blossom season, approximately 2,000 cherry trees reach full bloom, drawing massive crowds. In 1981 residents of (formerly known as) Tajiri town (Tajiri was part of a merger into the larger Osaki City) volunteered to plant cherry trees, and it has become a popular viewing spot
