Route
This is an introduction to a two-day, one-night model course designed to get the best out of Osaki City. Osaki City is filled with year-round charm that with each season providing its own unique scenery and fresh and abundant produce.

Day 1

Cherry Blossom Sightseeing To Mt Kagobo
Mt Kagobo, a 224m high mountain, has Someiyoshino, Yaezakura, and Beniyazakura, among many other varieties planted, and its scale is consistently the biggest in the prefecture.

Lunch and Shopping at Shoku-no-Kura (Kamuro)
The facility was established in 2005 by renovating the historic building of Hashihira Sake Brewery, which has been in operation since 1790. Visitors can enjoy shopping and dining in this charming, traditional setting.

Katanuma
Katanuma is an acidic caldera lake. The color of the lake changes from emeral green and deep blue, depending on the day.

Stay at a hotel in Naruko Onsen Hot Spring
Naruko boasts just under 400 hot spring sources that supply its five main hot spring areas, which provide an abundant supply of hot water. So many in many of the baths flow natural spring water. It is a designated natural hot spring resort by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment.

Day 2

Dosen-in Temple.
Within the temple grounds, there are some 80 Buddhist paintings and other artworks created by the 34th head priest.

Day 1

Osaki Sunflower Hill
Said to be the second-largest sunflower field in Japan, it blooms with some 420 thousand sunflowers. In July, the "Sunflower Festival" is held.

To the Kankaku Museum - Museum of the Senses.
The Kankaku Museum exhibits the "five senses", sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. The museum has many areas that are popular with tourists who like to take great photos.

Iwadeyama Yubikan
The academy, established by the Iwadeyama Date family - a beneficiary of the Sendai clan in the Edo period, was designated as a historic site of scenic beauty under the name "Former Yubikan and its Garden."

ALA-DATENA Roadside Station
Have lunch and do some shopping at what was chosen as the best roadside station in Japan!

Onikobe Geyser
There are two geysers, one "Benten", shoots up hot water in approximately 10-minute intervals at a height of roughly 15 meters, and the other, "Unryu", that shoots up hot water at 15 to 20 minute intervals at a height of 4 to 5 meters. Visitors can experience making hot spring soft or hard-boiled eggs and using hand and foot baths.

Staying at Onikobe Hot Springs.
At Onikobe, the water coming out of the natural hotsprings can reach temperatures of nearly 100ºc.

Kamuro Farm
Every year around from mid-July to mid-August, visitors can taste freshly picked organic blueberries, fresh from the farm!

Autumn Foliage at the Naruko Gorge
The 100m deep valley, etched by the Ohya River, is from mid-October to mid-November steeped in beautiful red and yellow autumn leaves.

Lunch is Japanese Soba
Osaki City is recognised as a World Agricultural Heritage city, because of its close ties with nature and its abundance of water. The magnificent Mt Kurikoma and the mineral-rich Naruse and Eai rivers.nurture the production of delicious buckwheat flour.

Miyagi Olle (Osaki - Naruko Onsen Course)
The course theme is the blessings of nature and the long history of the fragrance of hot spring water wafting in the air. The course is a total of 10km with an expected time required to complete the course of 4 hours.

Canyoning
Enjoy canyoning through the Arao (Eai) river's hot spring stream "Arayu".

Onikobe Ski Slopes
With gentle family-friendly slopes, bumps, and fresh powder snow, there is something for all skiers to enjoy, from beginners to advanced.

Painting Nakuko Kokeshi Dolls.
Naruko Kokeshi dolls have a good balance between their thick bodies and heads. The colorful patterns on their bodies are centered around chrysanthemums and because their heads are fitten on, if you twist them, they will make a squeaking sound.

Day 2

Kanbai Sake Brewery
The brewery tour and sake tasting course is popular with visitors. For those who drive to the brewery, neighboring the brewery is a confectionery shop, "Haruricca" that makes desserts from sake lees (leftover bits from the sake making process) for you to enjoy.
