Ryokan Bentenkaku
Benten-kaku Inn offers two private open-air hot springs and an indoor bath, all featuring natural spring water flowing directly from the source and renowned as “beautifying waters.” The hot spring water is said to have cleansing and moisturizing effects. The indoor bath offers panoramic views of the surrounding natural mountain scenery and the beautiful Arao River stretching to the mountain foothills.
All guest rooms are traditional air-conditioned Japanese-style tatami rooms. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises. Rooms offer views of Naruko's abundant natural scenery. In winter, approximately 200 swans migrate from Siberia to rest on the Eai River. For a more premium stay, choose rooms featuring a cypress wood bathtub (note: the cypress tub is not supplied with hot spring water).
For dining, both breakfast and dinner feature seasonal ingredients, blending local vegetables, mountain greens, meats, and seafood into Japanese cuisine. The menu is adjusted according to the season.
