Osaki City is home to Osaki Farmlands, which is recognized as part of the (GIAHS) Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System. The nutrient-rich farmland and rice paddies, nurtured by abundant nature and crystal clear waters, have long supported the cultivation of crops, rice and the brewing of Japanese sake rice wine.
Fuyumizu Tanbo Rice

Fuyumizu Tanbo Rice is sold at Tajiri Honami Public Corporation. This JAS-certified organic rice is produced without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Since 2004, Fuyumizu Tanbo Rice has been made without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers in the rice fields of the Shibo Districts neighboring the Kabukunuma Marsh, which is a resting place for migratory birds. This safe and secure rice is grown in rich soil nurtured by countless living creatures.

Due to field maintenance, approximately 80% of the rice paddies for the 2017 crop year are currently uncultivated. They sincerely apologize, that they are unable to supply rice this time due to a lack of inventory.
